Microblading is a permanent makeup cosmetic tattooing that involves delicately implanting pigment under the skin to create the illusion of natural-looking hair strokes. To complete the process, you need to have at least two sessions. The second session should be scheduled 8-12 weeks after the first treatment. If you need more sessions to achieve your desired results, they must be done within 8-12 weeks of the previous session.

It's important to note that this tattooing technique uses pigments instead of ink, so it tends to fade faster than traditional permanent makeup. Obtaining a touch-up annually is recommended to ensure the longevity of your microblading results.

My goal is to ensure you receive the best results from your treatment. Your skin must be healthy, strong, and non-irritated to achieve the best results.

Unfortunately, not all clients are good candidates for permanent makeup due to their compromised skin or pre-existing medical conditions.

If you have any of the skin or medical conditions and mediation restrictions listed, you will not retain color well. You will not be a good candidate for the permanent makeup procedure.

• Ingrown hairs and open bumps on eyebrow-injured skin cannot be tattooed.

• Eczema (Constant flaking/itching/irritation/shedding of skin)

• Psoriasis (Constant flaking/itching/irritation/shedding of skin)

• Dermatitis (Constant flaking/itching/irritation/shedding of skin)

• Rosacea (chronic acne-like skin indicated by redness): The skin bleeds easily and will not retain color well; bleeding can also result in a grayish-looking brow.

• Very oily skin on eyebrows- the hair strokes will appear more blended, solid, or not retained.

• Large pores on your forehead & in the eyebrow area- color will blur/blend in large pores, resulting in a powdered look

• Mature skin—Aged skin can be on the thinner side and can heal blurry. I do not recommend microblading to anyone 75+.

• Have moles/raised areas/piercings in or around the brow/eye area- anything raised or indented will not retain color

• Deep wrinkles in the brow area hair strokes will not lay properly in the creases, giving the eyebrows an uneven look.

• A hair transplant for your eyebrow color will not take in the scar tissue where the plugs were placed.

• Shingles-permanent makeup will not be performed as the procedure could cause a flare-up)

• Accutane or Retin-A (acne medication) within the last year- skin composition is altered and will not heal well. Must wait one year before treatment

• Retinol or Vitamin A user- skin composition is altered and will not heal well. Must discontinue use one month before treatment

• Fragile skin- transparent or translucent bleeds easily and cannot hold color due to its thinness.

• Tanned/Sunburnt skin

• Use Latisse or any eyelash/eyebrow growth conditioner. Your skin will be hypersensitive and bleed easily. Use must be discontinued for two months before the procedure.

• Pregnant or nursing (at risk and sensitive due to changes in hormones)

• Hemophilia (high risk- cannot stop bleeding)

• Heart Conditions/Pace Maker/Defibrillator (No exceptions) (high risk)

• Body runs hot (increased bleeding, which prevents color deposit)

• Bleeding disorders (increased bleeding which prevents color deposit)

• Thyroid condition and taking medication for this condition (Hypo, Hyperthyroidism, Graves Disease, Hashimoto’s- results in thicker skin)

• Auto-immune disorders such as LUPUS or Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia (MS, RA, Lupus, or the like)

• Due to the medicines to treat these diseases, color will not be retained. Also, the facial skin is not healthy and is/or bumpy, and the color will not heal evenly)

• Trichotillomania(Compulsive pulling of body hair) Due to constant pulling, scar tissue is prominent, and color will not heal evenly/properly.

If you are on any of these medications, you will have excessive bleeding, and the color WILL NOT retain well:

• Accutane

• If you have a specific eyebrow shape in mind, please bring pictures of it and fill in your eyebrows as usual so we can consider the shape you typically wear.

• If you regularly shape, wax, thread, or tint your eyebrows, it's best to do so at least three days before your appointment. Minimal shaping is done during the procedure to reduce skin sensitivity.

• Clients must stop taking blood-thinning medication, including Vitamin E, Aspirin, Niacin, fish oil supplements, and Ibuprofen, for at least 72 hours before their appointment.

• It is essential to avoid consuming alcohol the night before and the day of your appointment, as well as avoiding caffeinated beverages on the day of treatment.

• This procedure is not recommended if you have taken Accutane in the past year.

• For optimal results, it is recommended to avoid sun and tanning bed exposure for at least 30 days before and after the procedure.

• If you arrive for your appointment with a new tan or sunburn, you must reschedule and pay a late cancellation fee. Sunburn will exfoliate your skin, taking the pigment with it.

Each client's skin reacts differently to the treatments. It is crucial to read and follow the aftercare instructions carefully, as proper healing is essential for the success of the Microblading procedure.

The Day of the Treatment

ABSORB

Gently blot the area with clean tissue to absorb excess lymph fluid. Do this every 5 minutes for 3 hours, then every 15 minutes for the rest of the day. Removing this fluid prevents the hardening of the lymph.

Days 1-7

WASH

Wash the microbladed area gently three times a day with lukewarm water and one to two drops of the cleanser provided on a cotton round. To dry, gently pat the area with another clean cotton round. Once the area is dry, apply a rice grain-sized amount of aftercare cream supplied to the treated area.

Days 1-7

MOISTURIZE

Apply a rice grain amount of aftercare cream supplied with a cotton swab and spread it across the treated area. Be sure not to over-apply, as this will suffocate your skin and delay healing. The aftercare cream should be barely noticeable on the skin. Never put the cream on a wet or damp tattoo.

• Immediately following your procedure, the microbladed area will appear darker and bolder in color and more sharply defined. This can last up to a week while the initial healing process takes place. The treated area may feel a bit like sunburn afterward, but minimal discomfort should exist.

• During the initial healing period, there should be minimal scabbing or flaking of the skin. If scabbing or flaking occurs, do not pick; allow the scab or dry skin to come off naturally. Picking can cause scarring and loss of color.

• The complete healing process takes about 6-8 weeks, at which time the actual color of the microblading is evident. During this process, your brows will soften and lighten. Be patient, even if you think too much color has been lost, as your skin is still regenerating and naturally exfoliating. Wait at least six weeks to see the final color; any changes or adjustments can be made during the touch-up.

• It is important that you do not pick or scratch at the flakiness after getting a tattoo. Letting the skin fall off naturally is recommended, as picking can cause scarring and loss of pigment. Once the flakes have fallen off, a shiny layer of healing skin will completely cover the hair strokes. You may notice that the tattooed area has disappeared entirely. However, within 1-2 weeks, the hair strokes will slowly reappear at a lighter shade as your skin regenerates. I would like you to be patient during this process and avoid picking at any flakiness.

• You can shower or bathe normally, but avoid using soaps, shampoos, or other cleansers on the treated area for the first week.

• Please avoid applying makeup to the tattooed area during the first two weeks after getting a tattoo.

• It is important not to bleach, tint, or dye the tattooed area for at least one month following the procedure.

• Avoid using anti-acne or lightening products like hydroquinone on the treated area during healing.

• No facial products containing AHAs, Retin-A, Lactic, or Glycolic Acids for anti-aging purposes.

• While healing, avoid threading, waxing, or using hair removal products on the treated area.

• Refraining from exercise or activities that may cause sweating for a week after getting a tattoo would be best. This will allow your tattoo to heal correctly and prevent any complications.

• Please refrain from swimming in pools, jacuzzis, or any other bodies of water for the next two weeks.

• Limiting your showers to five minutes is recommended to avoid creating too much steam. Keep your face and any treated areas out of the water when washing your body. Only towards the end of your shower can you wet your face and wash your hair. Avoid using hot water and excessive rinsing on any treated areas.

• Over time, exposure to the sun can cause the pigment to fade and become discolored. Once the treated area has fully healed, you may apply sunscreen to protect it. It's important to rinse and dry the area thoroughly when it comes into contact with chlorine.

• Avoid using glycolic acid, microdermabrasion, and chemical face peel products and treatments on the microbladed area, as these products can lighten the pigment with continued use.

To ensure that we can achieve your desired results, a consultation is necessary before proceeding. If you have had previous tattoos or cover-ups, additional appointments and charges may be required. It can be challenging to tattoo over someone else's work since I am not familiar with their technique or color choices. Typically, multiple treatments are necessary to perfect the formula and achieve the best possible outcome.

• Your next session should be scheduled between 2 and 3 months after your initial treatment.
  

• It is recommended to have a touch-up done once a year to preserve the shape, color, and detail of your work.

• If you have not had an appointment within 2 years, you may require multiple services which will be charged accordingly.
  

• The minimum age for microblading services is 18. Individuals under 18 are not eligible.
